Ground loops? Clocking? Sync? Impedance?

IMG_2380Approaching even the most basic studio installations can be a daunting task for some. After purchasing an array of equipment, understanding the vast amount of cables and connectors to make everything work can be a steep learning curve.

From constructing and maintaining not only my own production suite, but all the studios installed at the SAE Institute in Oxford, I’ve come to learn that simply sticking the cables in the right holes is not enough. Both analogue and digital audio signals can be tricky to get going perfectly.

Please feel free to get in touch if you find yourself stuck under a console or struggling to get things to sync up. With over 10 years experience of piecing kit together and trouble shooting some of the most complicated setups, I’m happy to answer your questions.
